Black – Worn by
Lawyers – Indicates Sadness.
Grey/Brown – Humble
Friar – Course Fabric.
Blue – Coats worn by serving men.
Yellow – Lover.
Scarlet (Red) – Worn
by Cardinals and Doctors.
- Dashing young man: Doublet and Hose.
- Fool/Clown/Simpleton: Long coat.
- Festive Occasion: Finest cloaks and hats.
- Macbeth Indoor wear: Ruff, Gold chain, Fine hat, Indoor Shoes, Nightgown.
- Macbeth Outdoor wear: Cloak and Boots, military buff and metal (armour).
- Lady Macbeth: Long gown of silk or satin, bodice and a skirt joined by a ‘stomacher’, a nightdress.
